Depok, BarisanBerita.com,- 16 November 2023, Mahasiswa Universitas Pamulang melakukan kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) sebagai bagian dari pemenuhan kewajiban dari Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi yang bertemakan Pemanfaatan Teknologi Bagi Siswa SMP yang berlangsung di SMP Darul Ulum Kota Depok.
Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan wawasan tambahan kepada siswa dan siswa SMP bagaimana teknologi informasi berperan penting dalam segala aspek kehidupan khususnya pada bidang Pendidikan. Tak hanya sampai disitu kegiatan ini juga bertujuan memberikan gambaran bagaimana teknologi informasi bekerja serta kesempatan belajar dan berkarir di bidang tersebut.
Kegiatan dimulai dari pembukaan, sambutan perwakilan dari pihak sekolah oleh Muhamad Fadilah, S.Si, ketua pelaksana dan dosen pembimbing. Terlihat adanya ungkapan terima kasih saling menyaling antara kedua belah pihak atas berlangsungnya kegiatan yang sangat bermanfaat ini.
Kegiatan dilanjutkan dengan penyampaian materi tentang Pemanfaatan Teknologi Informasi, dimulai dari pengertian informatika, cara kerjanya, contoh penerapannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, serta peluang untuk belajar dan berkarir di bidang IT.
Para siswa dan siswi terlihat aktif dan sangat antusias selama pemaparan materi ini. Mereka juga diberikan kesempatan untuk berbicara langsung, bercerita, dan berbagi pengetahuan yang mereka miliki.
Setelah pemaparan materi, diselenggarakan sesi quiz dengan berbagai doorprize menarik bagi peserta yang berpartisipasi aktif. Hal ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan antusiasme siswa dan siswi dalam mengikuti kegiatan.
Kegiatan diakhiri dengan penyerahan plakat kepada pihak sekolah sebagai ungkapan terima kasih atas dukungan dan izin dalam melaksanakan kegiatan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini. Seluruh kegiatan berlangsung dengan lancar, didukung oleh partisipasi aktif dari semua peserta. Inisiatif ini memberikan kontribusi positif dalam meningkatkan wawasan dan pengetahuan para siswa dan siswi, serta mempererat hubungan antara Universitas Pamulang dan SMP Darul Ulum Kota Depok.
